I’m not shocked the 90’s made such a mega fashion comeback. Doc Martens, flannel (thank you!)… even scrunchies and fanny packs. If you told me fanny packs would be coming back after they went out of style, I would have laughed in your face. I also attended a packed house for a New Kids on the Block concert a few weeks ago. So, I guess… there’s that too. Good for NKOTB and fanny packs. Fashion decades roll back around all of the time, so we decided to pick one we have seen some major designers pulling trends from for this shoot. Polka dots, silk scarfs and even poodle skirts are all hitting the runway with top designers. And we are a big fan of fifties fashion trends. But, let’s be clear… we’re anything but square. We’re a little more Rock and Roll. These are some fifties fashion trends that we love.
You may have seen these images already published in Senior Style Guide. If you have found us from SSG, welcome!! If this is your first time seeing them, head on over and check SSG out. Now, to the amazing styling. The Vintage Designer Leather was provided by none other than the amazing Stash Style, along with some of the vintage shoes, bandanas, scarfs and other authentic pieces. My favorite piece is Sheila’s service shirt. Thank you, Baxter… whoever you are. We topped a couple of the outfits off with some leather pants by Free People and a checkered shirt by Habitual (Thank you RTR!). The gals at Willow Room Salon rocked it once again. Only, this time… they truly blew my mind. I had an idea and they completely brought it to life. Even the guys got to go greaser. And, when I say they went greaser… they really got into character (see above video). It was such a fun day. Best job ever. Keep an eye on our Instastories to watch out for our next big shoot this June and catch more behind the scenes on our blog!!
